Dialbrew vs Outreach

Different layers of the stack. Outreach optimises the touches; Dialbrew runs the operation that produces, proves and bills them.

This is a category-level comparison. We describe what each kind of tool is designed to do rather than claiming specific feature gaps, because we have not audited Outreach's current feature set. Check their documentation for specifics, and treat our own claims as describing Dialbrew only.

These are not the same category

Worth being blunt about this, because the names invite confusion. Outreach is one of the established sales engagement platforms: its job is to help reps execute sequences of touches across email, phone and social, and to improve the performance of those touches over time.

Dialbrew is an SDR operations platform. Its job starts before the first touch and continues long after the last one: who is rostered on which client, what capacity that roster represents, what activity actually happened, which meetings held, what each rep earned for them, and what each client gets invoiced.

If you run a sales development function where the only question is “are the sequences performing?”, a sales engagement platform answers it. If you also have to answer “what do we bill Client A this month, what do we pay the three reps who worked on them, and why does the client’s report disagree with our spreadsheet?” — that is a different question, and a different system.

The question each one answers

Where Dialbrew is opinionated

One source of truth for money. Each client has products carrying both a customer price and an SDR commission. A completed booking generates exactly one commission row — enforced by a unique database constraint on the booking, so a retried job or a redelivered event cannot double-pay. The same billable set rolls into the client’s billing record. The figure you bill and the figure you pay derive from the same rows, which is why they cannot drift.

No-shows are first-class. Held, no-show, and no-show-with-reschedule are distinct recorded outcomes. They drive a defined compensation matrix instead of a monthly negotiation, and they appear in the client’s own portal rather than quietly vanishing from a billing total.

Capacity is computed, not guessed. Bookings-per-hour rates are maintained per SDR per client project, with manager overrides layered on top, so forecasting the next six weeks is arithmetic rather than instinct.

Working days are real working days. Hours, absences and expected output subtract public holidays for the account’s country — not just weekends. A Finnish December is not a Finnish March.

They are not mutually exclusive

Most teams that would want Dialbrew already run a sequencer, a CRM and an accounting system, and should keep running them. Dialbrew integrates rather than replaces: it pushes booked meetings into the client’s own HubSpot or Pipedrive, syncs to Google Calendar and Outlook, notifies Slack, and sends invoices through Procountor.

The honest framing is layering, not replacement. Keep the tool that sends the touches. Add the system that runs the operation around it.

When Outreach is the better choice

If you are a single company with one book of business, one commission scheme, and no clients to report to, most of what Dialbrew does is overhead you will not use. The multi-client rostering, the per-client products, the customer portal and the invoicing chain only pay for themselves when there are several clients and several reps whose work has to be attributed and priced separately.
